In our current sermon series, The Writings of John, we explore Jesus’ message to the persecuted church in Smyrna from Revelation 2:8–11. Though materially poor and facing intense suffering, they were spiritually rich because of their faithfulness to Christ. This message challenges us to count the cost of discipleship, recognize the freedoms we often take for granted, and make Jesus our highest priority before trials come.
